How much does it cost?
The program is FREE! In order for your child to be eligible, your child must attend a Title I school in its second year of school improvement and is also eligible for Free/Reduced price lunch.

What is the Supplemental Educational Services (SES)?
Under No Child Left Behind (NCLB), SES provides extra academic help in reading and mathematics for economically disadvantaged students in eligible schools.

When and where are the services provided?
Tutoring sessions are provided before school, after school or on Saturdays. All Confidence Tutors are district teachers who are state-certified and highly qualified in their subject area. This also ensures that all tutors have cleared all background checks.

 
FOR STUDENTS

Will there be extra homework?
No - we're not trying to add to your stress. However, while you're getting assistance, you'll practice the skills you need to finish the homework already assigned by your teacher.

Assuming my school has a Confidence Music program, How do I get tutoring?
Simply go to the front office and find out where you can sign up and where your parents have to sign, then all you have to do is show up.

Does it cost anything?
No - tutoring is free if the student is attending a Title I school and is on Free/Reduced lunch.

Should I tell my teacher about Confidence Music?
Absolutely. Most teachers are very pleased to know you are trying to get help - and may be able to provide you and your tutor with information that would be helpful to that process.

What subject’s do you offer?
Currently, free tutoring is offered in Mathematics and Reading. Usually, tutorial sessions are in 2-hour intervals. You may need multiple sessions to get caught up or to improve your skills.
